Collaging on Shikishi Boards
Shikishi boards are washi papers mounted to a hard backing, edged in gold foil. They are used in Japan for paintings, poetry, autographs, and more. We also like to use them as substrates for artwork and collage! Watch artist Karen Elaine use our Painted Paper origami papers to create beautiful Shikishi board collages.
This video was originally livestreamed on the Yasutomo Facebook page on Friday, April 19, 2024.
