Making Fused Washi Papers
Learn how to make fused papers with all kinds of unique details!
Create your own customized designs on washi papers, then fuse with Nori Paste to create sturdy, textured, unique papers that you can use for all kinds of paper crafts.

- Asagami paper (6AG) - crisp washi paper that takes printed images beautifully!
- Usugami paper (6U) - super thin (14 gsm) tissue paper
- Kozo paper (6K) - absorbent 100% mulberry paper with a soft yellow tint
- PURE Origami Paper 3" sheets (4352)
- Large washi paper pad (6JM) - Karen used these for gel prints in previous demonstrations
- Nori Paste (NP series)
- PVA glue (not sold by Yasutomo) - Karen mixed a bit of this into Nori Paste for this project
- Hake brush 1" (BFC1)
- Kraft paper mat by Ranger (not sold by Yasutomo) - Karen works on top of this when creating fused papers
- Karen used Asagami (6AG) printed paper and washi paper (6JM) for the first sheet of fused paper (blue patterns on both sides)
- Bamboo baren, aka rubbing pad (Karen is using the #13, which is currently out of stock - you can pick up the smaller SB10 instead )
- Karen used Usugami (6U) paper with black sumi ink brush stroke marks for the second sheet of fused paper (black brush stroke marks)
- Gasen (6G) paper turned into momigami (kneaded paper) with coconut oil - 3rd fused paper
- Confetti paper: Made with Usugami (6U) papers and sandwiched circles of printed Asagami (6AG) and circles cut out of PURE origami paper (4346)
- Orizome (dip dyed) fused paper: Made with dip-dyed washi paper (6JM) and blank Kozo paper (6K) on the reverse
- Freezer paper (not sold by Yasutomo) - Karen made her orizome fused paper on top of this white non stick paper
- Wriggly string paper: Karen used Usugami paper (6U) and pearl cotton #8 string (not sold by Yasutomo)
- Lace paper (inspired by Shannon Green)
- Next week's watercolor journal: Niji watercolor hot press paper (NHP-5) colored with Niji Artist Watercolor studio set (NWS24) using a 1" wide flat Fusion brush (FS10), then treated with glycerine (not sold by Yasutomo)
- Sulphite paper (not sold by Yasutomo) - Karen watercolored and stained these in 5" x 7" sheets
- Bamboo Folding Tool (OBF-7) to poke holes in the lace paper
- Golden interference blue acrylic paint (not sold by Yasutomo)
