Making Momigami (Japanese Kneaded Paper)
Momigami is Japanese for “kneaded paper.” By kneading paper coated with a konnyaku mixture you can transform it into a durable, flexible paper with a cloth-like texture. Momigami can be used for collage, cardmaking, bookbinding, and many other paper crafts.
In this video, learn how to make Momigami and fold a beautiful origami lotus flower with artist Karen Elaine!
This video was originally livestreamed on the Yasutomo Facebook page on Friday, June 28, 2024.
