In this session, Karen Elaine mixes and uses Yasutomo's metallic liquid sumi inks to create shimmering decorated papers - from subtle sheens to bold metallic effects. She'll also share her newest discoveries about making momigami, the traditional Japanese technique of kneading and crumpling washi paper to create a soft, leather-like texture, using Yasutomo's wide range of Japanese washi papers.

Then she'll put those beautiful papers to work! Karen will share a couple of creative projects that show you how to use your decorated papers in mixed-media art and crafting.
