KIDS ROOM DECOR! WOOD LETTERS NAME WITH ORIGAMI COVER

DECORATE YOUR CHILD'S ROOM!

Do you ever turn to the corner of a room and feel like something is missing? Today we have this incredible, easy DIY that will personalize any room you want.

Are you ready? Let's get to work!

You will need:

  1. (Yasutomo Mineral Patterns 4512 - DISCONTINUED) Similar alternatives:
    1. Origami STARS Colors, 20 Sheets, 10 Patterns, 4 5/8" (4852)
  2. Nori paste
  3. Silverado brush NB38-12
  4. Pencil
  5. Scissors
  6. 4 color acrylic paints

Steps:

1.

Paint the letters with a base coat of acrylic paint using your Silverado brush. You can get inspired by your room's decor, and match the base coat to the color scheme of the origami sheets you want to use next.

2.

Trace the letter shape on the back of the origami sheet (backwards so the patterned side is facing out). Cut and paste to the painted wood letter with Nori paste.

3.

Coat with a layer of semi-gloss protective finish (We recommend a water-based finish like Polyacrylic Minwax). Let it dry!

4

Arrange all the letters together and you are done! Add some cute animal origami figures for an extra touch of fun!
