Kintsugi Inspired Collage with Karen Elaine ✨
Celebrating the beauty of imperfection. ✨
Kintsugi (金継ぎ), meaning “golden joinery,” is a centuries-old Japanese art that repairs broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. More than just a restoration technique, it’s a philosophy that embraces imperfection and impermanence, transforming flaws into something beautiful and unique.
In this session, Karen Elaine demonstrates how to create Kintsugi-inspired collages using torn origami paper and Yaustomo's newest liquid golden ink.
This video was originally livestreamed on the Yasutomo YouTube channel on Friday, November 14, 2025.
