Yasutomo Creative Consultant Karen Elaine gave a virtual demo with Opus Art Supplies covering Sumi-e painting, Silverpoint drawing and origami!
Starting with origami, Karen shares how she utilizes origami for mindfulness and in art and mixed-media projects. Moving into silverpoint, Karen offers an introduction to the traditional art of silverpoint on Yasutomo’s Mineral Paper and share tips for the best results. Finally, Karen explains the essential materials for traditional Sumi painting. She demonstrates simple Sumi-e techniques and other ways to enjoy creating with ink and paper.
