Golden black is a dense black ink with golden powder suspension. The black outlines gold on rice paper; the effect is more subtle on other papers.
Traditional Chinese inks formulated as a dense black pigment that makes them suitable for all ink work, painting, drawing and calligraphy. They can withstand wet mounting techniques. Chinese ink produces slightly cooler tones than Japanese ink.
Usage tips:
- For best use, shake well and vigorously before pouring the ink out of the bottle. You should hear the mixing balls shaking inside of the bottle; these disperse the metallic pigment throughout the ink.
- Expires 5 years from their production date. Bottle has a sticker with the expiration date on the bottom.
- Use on absorbent washi (rice papers) for strongest metallic effect.
